Information You Send
Search Requests
A name, location, or other term entered into a search widget is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. Nez Perce County Busted Mugshots does not store or maintain a log of those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy policy controls after the request leaves the page.
Messages and Submissions
If you send an email or contact message, the information in that message is kept long enough to read it, answer it, and maintain ordinary business records. It is not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law, needed to protect rights or safety, or necessary for a service provider acting on the operator's instructions.
Technical Information
Web servers and analytics tools may receive routine technical details when a page loads.
- IP address or a shortened network identifier.
- Browser name, version, language, and device type.
- Operating system and screen or connection details.
- Pages viewed, referring page, and time spent.
- Date and time stamps and basic error information.
Cookies
Cookies or similar storage may help measure visits, remember a preference, support a search partner, or understand which pages are useful. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Some tools may work differently when storage is disabled.
How Information Is Used
Information is used for ordinary operation and service measurement, including:
- Keeping pages available and improving load speed.
- Sending a search request to the selected outside provider.
- Understanding which county and city resources visitors use.
- Diagnosing errors, abuse, and technical failures.
- Displaying advertising or referral tools that may reflect general interests.
Outside Websites
The pages link to the Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office, led by Sheriff Bryce Scrimsher, the Adult Detention Center, and the Records Division, as well as Lewiston Police, Tribal Police, Idaho courts, IDOC, federal locators, local news, and private search resources. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy notice and terms apply. Nez Perce County Busted Mugshots does not control another operator's collection, retention, security, or uptime.
Advertising and referral partners may use their own technologies to measure activity across different services. That activity occurs on their systems under their policies, not under the control of the originating government offices linked from the reference pages.
Who May Receive Information
Personal information is not sold by the operator. It may be available to the following categories when needed for the stated purposes:
- Search partners that process a submitted search request.
- Analytics and hosting providers that keep the service running.
- Advertising or referral networks that support the service.
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when a valid legal order or legal duty requires disclosure.
Security Practices
Reasonable administrative and technical steps are used to protect information held by the operator. No internet-connected service is completely secure, and no promise can be made that a breach, interception, or unauthorized access will never occur. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive personal details through an ordinary message.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults. The operator does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information, a parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to ask that it be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification, a person may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held by the operator.
- Correct inaccurate information supplied in a message.
- Request deletion of information that is no longer needed.
- Object to or limit certain processing where the law allows.
Requests should identify the information and a way to respond. A search term sent directly to a search partner must be addressed with that provider.
Changes to This Notice
This notice may be revised when the service, technology, partners, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted here with a new effective date or revision statement. Continued use after an update means the revised practices apply to future activity.
